LINO – Libertarian In Name Only

ORLANDO, Florida – Barely twenty-four hours in and already the Libertarian party of two thousand and sixteen is starting to experience dissention in the ranks.

Over Memorial day weekend Libertarians came together from across the country and around the world to nominate their president and vice presidential candidates at their annual national party convention. And for many the top of the ticket for the fall and the general election season is troubling, deeply troubling.

Many Libertarians say that with the assention of former Massachusetts Governor William Weld to the vice presidency that it will just give the North American Union types and Wall Street Big Money Donors a paper tiger in a Gary Johnson administration, should he win the presidency in the fall.

Because from sun-drenched Florida and the grave of the late great Economist Harry Browne, the 1996 and 2000 Libertarian party nominee for President of the United States of America, you can hear the battle cry of LINO – Libertarian In Name Only!

No doubt the Johnson-Weld ticket will tell Libertarians and you fellow voter nothing could be further from the truth. No paper tigers here, no LINO’s allowed! And so it will go, no?

But lets look at it from this perspective for just a minute, shall we? My prediction is that the Johnson-Weld ticket will be Libertarian-lite in that they’ll run under the Libertarian party banner but will, instead, draw from the well of the Never Trump Never Hillary movements in a kind of “A Coalition of the Willing.” Or as Bill Clinton and Dick Morris did so infamously in the 1990’s, “Triangulation.

Seeking out those disgruntled and disavowed  Democrats and Republicans who just can’t stand the idea, much less stomach it, of another Clinton or that for matter a Donald J. Trump in The White House.

Or, maybe not? Maybe just maybe it’s what they all really want, and it’s just going to be made to look like it’s not? Just so the media, talking-heads, politicos and party bosses can have something to talk about on the nightly news.

In either case I like Bill Weld and have enormous respect for Gary Johnson, ever since 2011 when he first ran for the presidency. Then as now Johnson stands for some of the same things that I do, but with Charles and David Koch, through Bill Weld, pulling on Johnson like he’s a puppet and they’re the masters even I can’t stomach that!

I hate Charles and David Koch with every fiber of my being for what they have done to this great country of ours and this beautiful world in which we all live. They are evil incarnate, in my opinion, and hell itself would be a far worse place with them in it.

I call LINO – Libertarian in Name Only! And for those disgruntled and disaffected Libertarians I offer this as your Battle Cry:

Hold fast, and as Jesse Ventura says, “Stay Vigilant…”

The Political Moorings of Jeffersonian Democracy

We all remember this line from the 1992 Republican National Convention, right?

And the man who uttered it, right?  Here’s what sparked the line. Watch.

History records that the line former President Reagan uttered then was directed to this man, and his then 1992 presidential campaign.

“President William Jefferson Clinton’s pre-inaugural celebrations began in 1993 – the year in which Thomas Jefferson’s 250th birthday was also widely celebrated. To dramatize the links between himself and the third president of the United States, Clinton journeyed to Washington from Monticello, Jefferson’s hilltop house in Virginia. Deliberately, the Arkansas Democrat followed the path to the White House taken in 1801 by the founder of his party at the start of his presidency. Before and since this symbolic pilgrimage, Clinton has followed in Jefferson’s footsteps in other ways.

A striking similarity between the two presidencies is how the media treated them. The press of Jefferson’s time, as of Clinton’s, was ever ready to publish reports that the president was hypocritical, irreligious, amoral. It charged, moreover, that the author of the Declaration of Independence (in fact, his authorship too was questioned), had been guilty of financial chicanery in his personal affairs and cowardly in the face of danger.”

– See more at: http://www.historytoday.com/elizabeth-marvick/clinton-and-jefferson-teflon-syndrome#sthash.kD2VopCB.dpuf

Even though it has never been proven outright that Mr. Clinton is guilty of the things that history says that he is there is, however, [great] cause for speculation.

In the early goings of the race for the White House in 1992 the Clinton presidential campaign camp contrasted and compared the then Governor of Arkansas to that of our nation’s third president Thomas Jefferson – It was his birthday after all (then as now), and both men have crossed paths all throughout history, and one could argue throughout life on this earth as we now know it today.

And there are many comparisons, even conclusions, that one can draw between our great nation’s 42nd and 3rd Presidents of these United States.

wjbcportrait
Former Presidents of the United States of America William J. (Blythe) Clinton (III.) on the left, 42nd President, and Thomas Jefferson on the right, 03rd President (photos courtesy of The White House, as Presidential photography, photo editing done by Rhett E. Column, Say What News?! 2016)…

Both men in their days were top legal minds, accomplished politicians, bookends to a bi gone era(s) in history. But there’s something else, some thing that some would say is far more sinister, may be even downright troubling? Both Thomas Jefferson and Bill Clinton have troubled the lives of African-Americans for years, and in Clinton’s case, it’s still ongoing (Ain’t no Congress that I know of yet to repeal this madness – how about you?). Watch.

Yesterday our nation’s 3rd President would have turned 273 years old, were he alive. This year Mr. Clinton will turn 70. Barely one-quarter of Jefferson’s age today. Jefferson was young when he assumed office. So to was Clinton. In fact, and in many cases, they were the youngest office holders in political history. Often times assuming positions of power, per the edicts of the voters, in their late 20’s and early 30’s.

Yet for all of their accomplishments in life there shortcomings ,far and away, overshadow their; lives, fortunes and sacred honors. Particularly in this nearly thrice ‘New-American-Century’.

slaveryaworldtowindotnet
“Slavery, a portrait of…” (photo courtesy of aworldtowin.net )…

Even though Thomas Jefferson was personally opposed to slavery he enslaved nearly 1,000 Africans and Guineans people’s on his Monticello plantation in present-day Charlottesville, VA. USA – when he was 21 years old he was the youngest slave owner in American history.

Bill Clinton enslaved (and has enslaved) 1,000’s of African-Americans and poor whites with the ‘Three-strikes law’.

Combined with the so-called “War on Drugs” William Jefferson Clinton has been single-highhandedly responsible for the en mass incarceration of millions of African-American males and youths now decades removed from his presidency.

As a country the United States of America, since the Jefferson and Clinton presidencies, has enslaved and continues to enslave millions if not billions of human beings around the world through something called human trafficking, brought about by slavery starting in Thomas Jefferson’s day.

You say well Jefferson apologized and Mr. Clinton apologized  not all that long ago. Watch.

And so therefore we must honor that, respect that, maybe even fear that, right?

Let me tell you what I fear, what I respect, and what I honor, and that is this admission of guilt from Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush. Watch.

With all due respect to the former Presidents and their apologies for slavery are for crap. And I have far more respect and reverence for the American statesman known as Bobby Rush for freely and openly admitting – without cause reservation or political expediency – “Hey! You know what Mr. and Mrs. American Citizen? I screwed up! And I’m deeply and profoundly sorry for my mistake…”

I put way more, way more, stock in trade in Mr. Bobby Rush and his apology than I ever will Bill Clinton and Thomas Jefferson’s, regardless of the admissions of guilt. You cannot, now or in the future, excuse away such an egregious and onerous mistake as slavery. Or for that matter Mass incarceration, especially when you know better. Watch.

The policies and practices of the former Presidents are troubling to say the least. So to is early American history. Before slavery, before Colonial whites came from place like England, France, Scotland and Whales to “settle” in this Newfoundland there were millions of freed men and women living on the North American continent, particular in southern-most United States, especially in Florida and Texas.

Known as the Moors [of the Americas]. They along with the Spanish and   the “first tribes,” of Early American Indians lived and worked amongst each other to “settle and work the land that the Great Spirit saw fit to give them all…”

313px-Moorishbarbarians
A depiction of the “first Americans,” in the United States of America (photos courtesy of Wikipedia, 2016) …

Thomas Jefferson’s birthday milestone is a great feat of the so-called ‘American spirit’ or the human condition to be sure. So to is Bill Clinton’s presidency, but both the urban blight and early American life, as we now know it,have led to our demise as Americans. For good or for ill it is the Mooring of Jeffersonian democracy and “Comeback Kid,” politics, and I will never honor that as long as I live.

“Judge not, less you be judged..” – Jesus Christ, The Holy Bible #quotesbyfamouspeople

Matthew 7:1-3 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Judging Others

[a]Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly].For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you. Why do you look at the [insignificant] speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice and acknowledge the [egregious] log that is in your own eye?

Footnotes:

  1. Matthew 7:1 This is not a prohibition of judgment, nor is it a command to stop using godly wisdom, common sense, and moral courage together with God’s written word to discern right from wrong, to distinguish between morality and immorality, and to judge doctrinal truth. There are many judgments that are not only legitimate, but are commanded (cf John 7:24; 1 Cor 5:5, 12; Gal 1:8, 9; 1 John 4:1-3; 2 John 10); however, you cannot judge another if you are committing the same type of sin.

From questioning one’s qualifications to be President of the United States to questioning the judgement [of a woman to be President – its implied] of someone being President of the United States “on day one”. Some would say that Bernie Sanders stepped in it, big time, this week.

On Thursday of this week Senator Sanders and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will meet in as many weeks since they rolled into New York, New York for the Democratic primary process to become President of the United States in 2016, co-hosted by CNN and New York 1 (NY1).

And as the “J” and “Q” words along with “Gestapo tactics,” and[“the devil made me do it”] per Sanders’ Campaign Manager Jeff Weaver made their respective rounds in this primary process for two thousand and sixteen I couldn’t help but think of Jesus Christ’s own words and that of then Delaware Senator Joe Biden when discussing judgement. Watch.

And then watch this!

We can also take a few slips, trips and falls down memory lane here, here andhere.

“Full disclosure: I do not have absolute faith in the judgment and wisdom of the American people. We’re all human, and we can all be misled. When leaders don’t level with citizens, we can’t expect them to make good judgments. But I do have absolute faith in the heart of the American people. The greatest resource in this country is the grit, the resolve, the courage, the basic decency, and the stubborn pride of its citizens.” – “Promises to Keep,” By U.S. Senator Joe Biden, Page xx

You say well, “Bernie Sanders started it when he openly questioned Secretary Clinton’s foreign policy credentials.”

Tis true! He did. Watch.

But here’s the thing:  Prior to her excursions into “women and girls issues,”  “fighting for lgbtq [community],”  “women’s rights and equal rights,” etc. etc. we’re told that Hillary Rodham Clinton was a career woman, stay at home mom and a woman who was, “standing by my man…baking cookies”. And so it goes…

That was until she was judged by Democratic Socialist turned Social Democrat Bernie Sanders. Watch.

As with anything in politics you have what’s known as a walk back and the walk back started after Senator Sanders said this:

And continued on here:

But never one to be satisfied Hillary Clinton doubled down on the Senator’s comments about qualifications. Watch.

The New York, New York media scrum continued for these last many weeks, leading us up to these comments from Bernie 2016 Campaign Manager Jeff Weaver. Watch HERE. (Wow!)

JeffWeaverBernie2016CampaignHQ
Bernie 2016 Campaign Manager Jeff Weaver speaking at a press event in front of the campaign headquarters in Burlington, VT. USA (photo courtesy of Getty Images, 2016)…

And no doubt its wrong to say that someone made a “deal with the devil”, deliberately, BUT lets look at the context behind those words as well as the fallout from them since.

As I begin to close out this posting, and since Mr. Weaver spoke those words, a lot has happened.

There’s a strike on in the New England States with Verizon [Wireless] Communications.

The head of the Republican National Committee, Reince Priebus, and the GOP front-runner for 2016 ,Donald J. Trump, are fighting over wait for it, wait for it “GOP party rules,” and delegates. [In the wake of the Colorado GOP delegate fight.]

Love him or hate him Donald J. Trump, Sr. is driving the debate. Resetting the political pins at the bowling ally known as American democracy, and for some that’s pretty damn scary! Maybe even down right political sacrilege? But the bottom line is judgement. And judging not lest you be judged.

denouncetrump_email

And in the last two weeks more questions have been raised about judgement and qualifications in terms of the Democratic (as well as the Republican) primary process for 2016 in the Empire State than ever. “Who’s ready to be President on day one?” Etc. Etc.

For me, at least, it all adds up to one thing. One saying, one expression in the form of action, “Judge not, least you be judged” so says the Lord Jesus Christ, and that for me says everything BECAUSE if you can’t function, perform as a fellow human being, behave accordingly as an American running for the highest and best office in the land THEN you have no business doing so. And in Christ’s own words you will be judged accordingly.

‘We Split That’ – The politics of splitting hairs

As this post is being written the 2016 primary process has been decided in Wisconsin (The Badger State).

voteheresign2016
A “Vote Here,” sign hangs just outside a Wisconsin polling place, as the 2016 primary process is settled their today (photo courtesy of WKOW)…

And as the process kicks further into the middle of New England and the Central United States as well as the remainder of the Mid-West and West I can’t help, again, but to be reminded of the movie, “Fargo” and the epic lines between the two kidnappers in that movie. Particularly this one. Watch.

And how this entire primary process has been nothing more than the politics of ‘We Split that’. What does the politics of ‘We Split that’ mean?

“Arguing about an inconsequential or trivial aspect of a task or issue…”

All throughout this process we have been regaled with the rules and regulations concerning the two-party system here in the United States of America by pollsters and pundits alike.

And it all adds up to just one thing, splitting hairs. When Hillary Clinton looses (or wins) a caucus or even a primary process like she did not all that long ago in Michigan (The Trojan State) its ‘We Split that’- meaning the delegates, BUT because I’m Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State and Senator for New York and oh well hell former First Lady of the United States and before that First Lady of Arkansas, working mom, Grandma extraordinaire, etc. etc. I get more, am supposed to get way more, delegates than you Bernie Sanders; you goddamned pinko-commie-socialist-turned-temporary-in-name-only-Democrat. Now dry up, fuck off, bugger off and go away! Bastard.

And so it goes…

John-Kasich-Headshot
The Honorable John Kasich, Republican Governor of Ohio, 2016 Campaign for President photo…

And the same can be said on the Republican side of the ledger. Trump, Cruz or Kasich win one or more than the other it is soon-enough arguing ‘We split that’ in terms of their delegates.

Remember though what happened in 2012, during the Republican primary process, it was down to Republican Congressman and OBGYN Dr. Ron Paul, M.D. of Lake Jackson, TX. USA by way of Pittsburgh, PA. USA and Mitt Romney, former Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts? And the infamous ‘Republican National Convention screw-job’ in Florida? Remember that? Watch.

Anyway, it came down to just two people then in the 2012 Republican party primary process. Dr. Paul and good old Willard Mittens Romney, the former Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Romney was what the political establishment is today. He embodied it. Watch.

And we all remember how this happened in the State of Louisiana when a Ron Paul supporter and a delegate for the state’s Republican party had his hip broken and he was arrested by police for attempting to lodge a complaint at a local party meeting. Watch.

Splitting hairs is violent, no? History repeats itself, no?

Especially when the so-called political establishment doesn’t get its way.

Threat. Innuendo. Summation. Lies. Aspersions on one’s asparagus.  And splitting hairs politically, just so ‘the other guy’ can get his or her (as the case may very well be) way.

Split hairs much?

A funny thing happened on the way to Cleveland, OH & the RNC 2016 [presidential] convention

Ben Carson

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A funny thing happened on the way to the 2016 Republican National Committee meeting for president in 2016. The truth was discovered!

IowaCongressmanSteveKing
Iowa Congressman Steve King gestures when speaking at an event in Iowa (photo courtesy of the Associated Press, 2015)
“I’m not sure he dropped out? Does that mean he quit? Ending it. That’s even more definitive than suspending. Ben hasn’t always used the common political vernacular to describe his campaign…So that’s why I want to know what language he used because we have to interpret what Ben said through a different dictionary than the one we use politically.” – Comments from Iowa Congressman Steve King (Republican) at CPAC 2016 on Dr. Ben Carson, M.D. exit from the 2016 presidential primary process
My how quickly the worm doth turn. And how quickly the truth comes out. In light of these recent truth-telling comments that the Congressman made at this years’ 2016 CPAC (Conservative Political Action Committee) meeting. Mr. King wants us to know that he really didn’t mean what he said OR that somehow we ‘misunderestimated’ what he really said/did in terms of the most recent exit of retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson’s exit from the 2016 presidential primary process at CPAC 2016.
TexasTedCruz2016 (2)
Canadian Texas Senator Rafael E. ‘Ted’ Cruz, Jr. (Republican) truth meme 2016

Furthermore that neither he nor Canadian Senator from Texas and 2016 Republican candidate for president Ted Cruz meant what they said. They simply meant, then as now, that the good Doctor, Ben Carson, is/was out over his skies politically. That’s all.

That somehow it was just plain old fashion dumb luck that Dr. Carson is out and Mr. Cruz is even farther along, politically, than he ever has been before against the likes of Donald J. Trump!

Don’t know about you fellow reader, and casual political observer, BUT that just makes me sleep better at night. Not.

Folks. Here’s the deal in all this. The TRUTH in all this. Ted Cruz and Steve King got together, have been together all along, and cooked the books, politically, against Dr. Carson. Especially in Iowa, Steve King’s backyard.

carson-cruz-dirty-trick
Truth Meme 2016 on how the Ben Carson debacle began in Iowa (photo courtesy of the Gateway Pundit)

But neither Cruz nor King meant anything by it, and they really didn’t mean what they said, We the People have just simply misunderstood their intentions, politically, and we should just forgive, forget, move on and ‘Unite behind a candidate –[Ted Cruz].’

But what do we know, right? See you in Cleveland!

–Rhett.

I’m growing weary of the deciders…Election Day 2016 IS Months Away!

WASHINGTON, D.C. – I don’t know about you, but it seems as if the [rat] race for the Presidency of the United States in 2016 has been decided, and that it’s a foregone conclusion that on the Democratic side it’ll be Hillary Rodham Clinton vs. Donald J. Trump on the Republican side, and from that will emerge Hillary Rodham Clinton as our next President.

HRC Lean & Mean in Green
The Honorable Hillary Rodham-Clinton testifying before the U.S. Senate’s Select Committee on Foreign Affairs in 2013 on the Benghazi, Libya Attacks in September of 2012 (photo courtesy of Bloomberg News, 2015)

QUESTION: And this is being decided how?

Answer: By two things.

First thing: Presidential polls and polling data. What is that? Well. I’ll tell you what it is. That’s when cable and network news outlets [newspaper companies too] commissions (buys) the time of polling firms like [Scott] Rasmussen Reports or The [Charlie] Cook Political Report to take telephone surveys of stay-at-home moms and your grandparents to tell them who they’ll vote for IF the presidential election were held today.

And these are just two of the thousands of firms and college political think tanks that for $100,000.00 U.S. Dollars or more will take a landline and cellular phone survey with housewives and grandma’s from the Northeastern United States or Los Angeles, CA.

That’s right. You read that right. Telephone survey companies like Rasmussen Reports or The Cook Political Report or the famed Monmouth University Polling Institute will call your mom or your grandma up in Philadelphia or Newark, NJ. in the middle of the day with this question:

“Hi Mrs. So and So My Name Is: _______________________ and I’m with: _____________. Today I’m calling to ask you this question: “If the 2016 presidential election were to be held today, who would you vote for? And I have the following choices (choose just one from the list, please):

A. Hillary Clinton

B. Bernie Sanders

C. Donald Trump

D. Jeb Bush

E. None of the Above

….”

And so it goes…

The reason I know this is before I was an Independent Journalist, Blogger, and Public Advocate extraordinaire I used to work in both television and radio and I used to work for The Cook Political Report (and other telephone survey companies as well) doing telephone survey’s.

I was the guy that called your grandma or mom or even your dad up in the middle of their otherwise extremely busy day to bother them with the question on who they’d vote for for the Presidency of the United States of America in 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012.

“Newsman,” Chris ‘Hardball’ Matthews talks soup to nuts Republican presidential primary debate for 2016 in Cleveland, OH. recently (photo courtesy of media.com)

Here’s the kicker though, and I hope that those who will take the time to read through this posting thoroughly, and share it with all in your social media circles, because I’m trying to teach and reveal something to you at the same time, this polling date, when it’s complied because Charlie Cook and Company do the math and tally the votes for folks like MSNBC white-hair Chris Matthews to foam and froth over with his ‘Northeast Suburbs’ spewtual on live and or nowadays tape-delayed t.v. and make good folks like you, the true deciders of this and no doubt other election cycles to come to buy into the following fact:

“According to NBC News/Wall Street Journal Polling today 55% of Americans favor Hillary Clinton to become the Democratic nominee to be President of the United States in 2016 while just 45% favor Bernie Sanders…”

Or….

“According to the latest CNN/ORC Poll…60% of Democratic voters in New Hampshire favor Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders who is at 40%…”

Read the Fine Print:

Here’s something else for you to ponder. I encourage you to read the fine print on any and all PUBLISHED polling data. And here’s how you do it. The next time you read one of those online articles from your favorite news site about, “the latest polling data for the 2016 presidential race is…” Do this: Scroll down the article, usually it will be either in the middle of the article or towards the end of it with a Disclaimer that reads:

“The Huffington Post Commissioned: _________________________ polling firm to conduct both a landline and cellular phone survey over a period of 3 to 5 days, and in the course of that survey 1,000 people were asked the following question: If the presidential election were held today, who would you vote for?”

Reread that highlighted fine print, won’t you? [It’s just above in black.] That is the key to this whole thing, because on the average that is both the maximum (and the minimum) amount that telephone survey company’s, commissioned by NBC News or CNN, to call your grandma in Philadelphia or your mom in Pittsburgh just to ask who’d they’d vote for and then that data in turn, which is valuable enough because your mom or your grandma took the time to answer the question, is in turn devalued quickly by white-haired “newsmen,” like Chris Matthews or young pups like say Steve Kornacki – who obsesses by the way over saying these words on cable news: “The latest Monmouth University Polling says…” – goes into ‘spin mode’ to convince you, the viewer, that it’s just a “fait accompli” that Hillary Rodham Clinton will be our next [female] President of these United States in 2016…[So get over it, and show your ass up at the polling place and cast your goddamned vote for Hillary Clinton because it’s just so goddamned stupid for some Democratic socialist “from Ben and Jerry’s country to become President of the United States in 2016.”] – [Emphasis my own, except for the quote, which came from Chris Matthews himself, earlier today, during a tape-delayed segment of “Hardball” on MSNBC…]

Mr. Steve ‘Bridge-gate Scandal’ Kornacki talking shop on the George Washington Bridge Scandal in Ft. Lee, NJ. USA (photo courtesy of salon.com)

Which brings me to my next point or the Second thing in this process: This is typical behavior from pollsters, pundits, and “newsmen” for the cable and network news shows that are festooned across our t.v.’s. And there’s a very special terminology for such behavior, and it’s called mass Media manipulation or Media induced voter suppression.

“Media manipulation is a series of related techniques in which partisans create an image or argument that favors their particular interests.[..]As illustrated below, many of the more modern mass media manipulation methods are types of distraction, on the assumption that the public has a limited attention span.” — Taken from the Wikipedia page titled, “Media manipulation”

Mass media manipulation or media induced voter suppression is an even bigger problem.

Time and memorial Mass media, mostly mainstream media, has had a monopoly to do whatever they want with little to no accountability. They know it. So to does the Federal Communications Commission or F.C.C.

And it needs to be stopped. Stopped butt cold in its tracks, but the only way that, that is going to happen is by electing people to higher office or us ourselves running for higher office to enforce the laws as written. Because and in so far as I know there is no law for monopoly. In fact what there is, is laws governing against monopoly. Case in point: The Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. And we’ve been hearing a lot lately, from Democrats for President in 2016 mostly – U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, D-MA too!, about the reinstatement of this act which regulates and controls the so-called “Big-Banks(ing) Industry”.

But, and again, good folks like yourself, who care and read through – thoroughly this posting, and myself to combat. To push back against these mass media manipulators who have already decided this election – elections; past, present, and future as well – cycle [and others] to tell us that it’s a foregone conclusion that Hillary Rodham Clinton is our next President and we are months away, months away now, from Election Day 2016.

Don’t be fooled. Don’t get fooled. Don’t get caught up in this mass-hysteria, hype and hyperbole.

Relax. Calm down. And focus on the task at hand…For me it’s getting Bernie Sanders in The White House in 2016, but I recognize that for many others it is the exact opposite, and that’s fine. That’s what Democracy, that’s what the democratic process is all about. A good, healthy, robust debate. See you at the polls fellow voter!
