Over Memorial day weekend Libertarians came together from across the country and around the world to nominate their president and vice presidential candidates at their annual national party convention. And for many the top of the ticket for the fall and the general election season is troubling, deeply troubling.
But lets look at it from this perspective for just a minute, shall we? My prediction is that the Johnson-Weld ticket will be Libertarian-lite in that they’ll run under the Libertarian party banner but will, instead, draw from the well of the Never Trump Never Hillary movements in a kind of “A Coalition of the Willing.” Or as Bill Clinton and Dick Morris did so infamously in the 1990’s, “Triangulation.”
In either case I like Bill Weld and have enormous respect for Gary Johnson, ever since 2011 when he first ran for the presidency. Then as now Johnson stands for some of the same things that I do, but with Charles and David Koch, through Bill Weld, pulling on Johnson like he’s a puppet and they’re the masters even I can’t stomach that!
I hate Charles and David Koch with every fiber of my being for what they have done to this great country of ours and this beautiful world in which we all live. They are evil incarnate, in my opinion, and hell itself would be a far worse place with them in it.
I call LINO – Libertarian in Name Only! And for those disgruntled and disaffected Libertarians I offer this as your Battle Cry:
Hold fast, and as Jesse Ventura says, “Stay Vigilant…”

“Senator, you don’t have to play by the administration’s ad hock rules that denied the Senate its constitutional duty of approving treaties. Instead of voting up or down on the deal, the Senate could vote to send Mr. Kerry back to the negotiating table.
There must be an enormous desire to support a president of your own party on a measure that has a noble purpose. The temptation to “give peace a chance” must be powerful. But real leadership is forged in the moment when you must say that the risks are too high—and the ultimate payoff of a 10-year delay too short—to risk the safety of future generations.
As we know Senator Schumer is, essentially, the holdout in the U.S. Senate on this deal. And with all power about to be vested in him as the incoming Minority Leader in the Senate for the Democrats he is the most powerful man in the room. — And history, in this regard, will either be kind or unkind to him.
Word is, is that The White House is calling his office every other day, sometimes two and four times a day to, “talk” and see “where the Senator is or is not in regards to this deal.”
And with these words of Secretary Kerry’s looming long and large over the well of the Senate:
One has to wonder where the Senator will fall?
And yeah the U.S. Senate could vote to send Secretary Kerry back to the negotiating table as the Observer suggests that Senator Schumer say for the Senate to do, so to can the U.S. Justice Department and the F.B.I. arrest the forty-seven U.S. Senators who signed that Cotton Letter to Iranian dissidents that started this whole mess in the first place.
Have they? Will they? Only time, and I guess Chuck Schumer’s response, to the Observer’s Letter, will tell.
Kinda sad really, to see that U.S. Foreign Policy has been reduced as it has. That negotiation and peace period has been so reduced as it has.

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia – The year was 1799 when a Congress and a President, John Adams, came together to sign into law the Logan Act. Named in honor of Philadelphia County, PA. Senator George Logan who took it upon himself to negotiate without permission, openly, on behalf of the still newly minted United States of America with the Republic of France in 1798. It was enacted so that ‘no one but an authorized Citizen of the United States shall have the Power to Negotiate on behalf the U.S. with any other foreign entity or government except for the President himself’.
Simply put the Logan Act gives the President of the United States, whomever he or she may be, the Power to Negotiate. Much like Congress has the “The Power of the Purse,” when it comes to Wars & Budgets. The Logan Act gives the President, any President, the Power to Negotiate with Foreign and Domestic Actors on the so-called, “World’s Stage”.
The Congress, in its current form, seems to forget history or and in fact they may not know or UNDERSTAND that a President has this power?
I freely admit any negotiation with a so-called, “Bad Actor” like Iran is troubling at best, given their government and military’s History of Violence. Their representative governments, in any form, have been bad ones, at least, since 1909.

At every turn this Congress has elected to undermine this President rather than let him govern. They have ignored the law on matters of convenience and narrative in order to boast and brag and say, “See! See! We told you. We told you. This President is bowing to our enemies. Negotiating with the enemies of Israel. And so, now, we gotta go in and clean this mess up…” In the mean time though to hell with the rest of the World and its problems ‘we’ve got far bigger fish to fry’. “When’s that next vote up to name that post office John [Boehner]?”
And We as Americans, and as Citizens of the World have every right to say, “Whoa! Wait a minute. Hod up here chief. This deal. This negotiation is what we want, it’s what We the People of the United States of America want. We want Iran, under new leadership, to be able to come to the table and negotiate with our President…”
To be sure I am no ardent fan of Barack Obama. But he is the President of the United States, like it or not, he was duly elected by a Majority of the American voter on two separate occasions. Period. Full stop.

The above and titled is not coming from me that’s coming from the Law, the Act, itself folks. And at every turn this President has been making use of the Act. And this is a good thing, because, and truthfully, this President is very well aware of the Law.

When does it end? Where does it end? We stop short of calling for his ouster, really and truly short. Willfully, often times, short. But something has got to be done! This man needs to be stopped. At the time of his death in September of 2011 both he and his family were living abroad in Yemen. No warrant was ever sworn out by the U.S. Government for his arrest. No police. No F.B.I. No C.I.A. Agents were ever sent for him with a warrant from a U.S. Federal Court. Instead, both he and his 16-year-old son, also an American citizen, had a hellfire missile dropped on their heads from a United States Military Drone. Thanks for the advanced notice Mr. Obama.
Late last night the Commander and Chief of the of our United States Military ordered air and sea strikes into the the Arab Republic of Syria. No formal much less informal declaration was made public or even private of such an action by the President of the United States of America. None! The media may well spin it otherwise but the truth is the truth. And Mr. Obama declared such not to the American people or to the world.
Yet, still and all We The People of the United States of America, more succinctly the Rule of Law is supposed to say nothing, stand idly by, keep our mouths shut, eyes and ears open whilst the Leader of the Free World goes bombing A Sovereign Republic in the Middle East because they contain ‘terrorists’? The words, “I think” and “not” come to mind!

At a recent event the mother of Mexican Jailed U.S. Marine Tahmooressi spoke out! As reported by World Net Daily at a live event the mother of jailed U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi spoke out for the first time in as many months as her son has been languishing in a secret Mexican prison for a crime(s) he did not commit.
Jill Tahmooressi said the letters would be an encouragement to her son.
“He needs to continue to hear from his supporters here in America, so that’s why we are asking for the public to write to him,” she said. “He has absolutely no distraction in that Mexican jail. Solitary confinement, no radio, no television; he is only allowed one book at a time, but he is allowed letters.
“So we encouraging the American people to write him letters because it keeps him connected … so he knows that he has not been forgotten.”
Since March of this year Sgt. Tahmooressi has been in Mexico and has been unable to regularly see or have contact with family and friends.
Mexican authorities contend that Sgt. Tahmooressi was running guns and drugs into and out of Mexico and that he was on a run the night he was arrested. Untrue!
Instead and in fact what he was doing was on his way to meet some friends for dinner after a group therapy session for his PTSD which he came under after multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The NGO, Serving California, is helping with the Tahmooressi defense. However Jill Tahmooressi, Sgt. Tahmooressi’s mother, has asked that people write letters to her son and to the U.S. State Department, the U.S. Department of Defense and the Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps on the Sargent’s behalf.
And while no man is an island I can’t help but harken aback to the idea of that fateful night for Andrew in March. The night that, some might arguably say, changed his life forever. The night that he was simply on his way to a dinner date with some friends and simply, unfamiliar, with city streets in San Diego, got turned around and found himself in Mexico.
Andrew NEEDS US, NEEDS TO HEAR FROM HIS FELLOW AMERICANS and our legislators in Washington NEED TO HEAR FROM US TO! Call (202)-224-3121. Tell your legislators in Washington to, “Free Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi! The United States Marine languishing in an albeit secretive Mexican prison since March of this year for a crime(s) that he did not commit. Thank you! God bless the U.S.A.!”
THEN contact the Mexican Embassy in Washington, D.C. and tell them, “Seniors and senoritas, O la! Mission de la Merci dos Yankees Tahamooressi! Mu pronto. Jesus bless la hacienda. Much o gusto. Viva la Mexico!”

This is an open message of complaint to the President of the United States of America, Barack H. Obama, II., and the Obama Administration, in particular the United States Department of Defense, the United States Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of State. It is regarding the Bowe Bergdahl Affair.
Two things. First, Doubly glad Sgt. 1st Class Bergdahl is finally coming home after 5yrs. in captivity abroad. Second, You people, in the Executive Branch and in fact the above and titled in the Executive Branch of Governance, BROKE THE LAW. Period. Full Stop. I am listening and have been listening to Sec. of Defense Hagel testify, openly, before the House Armed Services Committee, and his testimony, respectfully, is for crap! It will be for crap today, crap tomorrow, crap next week, crap next month, crap next year and the year after that. Bottom line.
You have a fiduciary duty and responsibility to the Law and to the Prophets of this Sovereign Republic to supply, advise, inform and consent at all times and without fail or exception. And you have to do that in real-time all the time. Failure is not an option it is a breaking of the law when you don’t. Period. Full Stop. Sec. Hagel informed the House Armed Services Committee today that this Administration informed the Congress in 2011 and 2012 of their plans to get Bergdahl back.
Such would be fine if in 2011 and 2012 you had done exactly that right then and right there BUT, and alas you did not! Instead you waited. You kept your political, social and ecumenical powder dry and let Bergdahl wither on the vine and only
until now decided to go and get him back.
Respectfully, this effort on your parts on behalf of the American people is an obligatory failure and an exercise in futility. It is a good thing, again, that Bergdahl is back with US and is in the process of coming stateside. But the law was broken here.
I don’t give six craps from the late great Charles Kuralt’s, “Sunday Morning” of feelings, intentions, good will, care, compassion or concern. The law is to be abided by, fully, completely and unequivocally at all times and without fail or delay. If it’s not or if it cannot be by this or any other Administration then said Administration needs to exit to the left, the same goes to the Legislative and the Judicial. Exit to the left, find a new line of work and keep your mouth shut! Period. Full Stop.
I resent strongly the FACT that Sgt. 1st Class Bowe R. Bergdahl, U.S. Army was returned to US illegally. You broke the law and you need to answer for it openly, honestly and forthrightly before the American people and their respective representatives.
In closing I want to thank this forum for the opportunity to express my opinion about this issue and I WELCOME AND ENCOURAGE GREATLY a response from the President and the afore-mentioned members of the Executive Branch.
