LINO – Libertarian In Name Only

ORLANDO, Florida – Barely twenty-four hours in and already the Libertarian party of two thousand and sixteen is starting to experience dissention in the ranks.

Over Memorial day weekend Libertarians came together from across the country and around the world to nominate their president and vice presidential candidates at their annual national party convention. And for many the top of the ticket for the fall and the general election season is troubling, deeply troubling.

Many Libertarians say that with the assention of former Massachusetts Governor William Weld to the vice presidency that it will just give the North American Union types and Wall Street Big Money Donors a paper tiger in a Gary Johnson administration, should he win the presidency in the fall.

Because from sun-drenched Florida and the grave of the late great Economist Harry Browne, the 1996 and 2000 Libertarian party nominee for President of the United States of America, you can hear the battle cry of LINO – Libertarian In Name Only!

No doubt the Johnson-Weld ticket will tell Libertarians and you fellow voter nothing could be further from the truth. No paper tigers here, no LINO’s allowed! And so it will go, no?

But lets look at it from this perspective for just a minute, shall we? My prediction is that the Johnson-Weld ticket will be Libertarian-lite in that they’ll run under the Libertarian party banner but will, instead, draw from the well of the Never Trump Never Hillary movements in a kind of “A Coalition of the Willing.” Or as Bill Clinton and Dick Morris did so infamously in the 1990’s, “Triangulation.”

Seeking out those disgruntled and disavowed  Democrats and Republicans who just can’t stand the idea, much less stomach it, of another Clinton or that for matter a Donald J. Trump in The White House.

Or, maybe not? Maybe just maybe it’s what they all really want, and it’s just going to be made to look like it’s not? Just so the media, talking-heads, politicos and party bosses can have something to talk about on the nightly news.

In either case I like Bill Weld and have enormous respect for Gary Johnson, ever since 2011 when he first ran for the presidency. Then as now Johnson stands for some of the same things that I do, but with Charles and David Koch, through Bill Weld, pulling on Johnson like he’s a puppet and they’re the masters even I can’t stomach that!

I hate Charles and David Koch with every fiber of my being for what they have done to this great country of ours and this beautiful world in which we all live. They are evil incarnate, in my opinion, and hell itself would be a far worse place with them in it.

I call LINO – Libertarian in Name Only! And for those disgruntled and disaffected Libertarians I offer this as your Battle Cry:

Hold fast, and as Jesse Ventura says, “Stay Vigilant…”

The politics of ‘Window Dressing’

I love ABC television and ShondaLand’s Scandal. As most of you know by now all of the cast, crew and production team for this television series as well as Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder have come out for Hillary Clinton for the presidency of the United States in two thousand and sixteen.

And while my wife and I are long-time fans and supporters of these epic tee vee series, Ms. Shonda Rhimes, I can’t help but say, “Shonda girl! You backin’ a loosin’ horse.”

But to each his own, and may the best man win, right?

When it comes to Scandal I’m particularly impressed with the back-and-forth dynamic that exists between ‘President Grant’ and the [former] First Lady, now turned U.S. Senator for the State of Virginia ‘Mellie Grant’ played by actors Bellamy Young and Tony Goldwyn.

‘Fitz and Mellie’ are always arguing, fighting, making up – albeit temporarily, politically, to help each other, get one another through the ‘process’ of a life in politics or public service. And it isn’t always easy for the two of them, in fact, it can be downright nasty – no matter how good intentioned filled ‘Mellie Grant’, from time to time, may be towards her husband (now ex-husband) ‘Fitz’.

And that dynamic of ‘helping’ or ‘helpful Hannah’ that ‘Mellie’ portends can be for ‘Fitz’ nerve-racking, and as you’ll soon see, playing itself out in deeply dramatic scenes like this one. Watch.

As you can see “the President” reminded “the First Lady” that she was “ornamental and not functional”in nature. “First ladies don’t set policy,” even real-life ones at that (be they former or otherwise).

And yet the country and the free world for that matter is stuck with a former First Lady of these United States (and former Senator for New York City) in Hillary Clinton doing exactly that.  Goodly intentioned though she maybe Mrs. Rodham-Clinton has done nothing to truly benefit her fellow-man or the at-large-public she so lovingly claims that she best represents, “for the last twenty-five years or more”.

She’s neither sponsored nor co-sponsored any major bills, acts or pieces legislation. Advanced no major policy or position papers. Took no hills nor advanced on any beachheads while wearing the uniform of the United States Military.

In fact what we’re told, what the world has been told is that Hillary Rodham-Clinton prior to ‘her turn in 2016′ was “doin’ nuthin’ but ‘standin’ by her man like Tammy Wynette and bakin’ cookies back home at the Governor’s Mansion in Arkansas.” Watch.

 

And so it goes folks…

She did, nothing. No. Thing. Of any major kind or sort in her time as a U.S. Senator for the State of New York from 2001 to 2009 according to the Library of Congress, SAVE “The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009,” Senate Bill 181 – Introduced by Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski, Democrat (01/08/2009). – This bill became law in then President George W. Bush’s last act as President before Mr. Obama became President of the United States of America in January of 2009.

Placating the masses back home in Arkansas with a kind of “poor people’s campaign of her own for the poor people of Arkansas,” as the first lady there.

Did you catch what Bernie Sanders said at the CNN #DemDebate last week???

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – All in all it was a pretty good night for Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, at least, at the first Democratic Debate for the Presidency of the United States last week.

Very civil, and eye-opening things were said by the candidates under the hot lights at Wynn Las Vegas.

Full Disclosure: I am supporting Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in [our] quest for him to become the next President of these United States of America. And I absolutely love, respect, and admire Mr. Steve Wynn – Owner and Operator of Wynn Resorts, Hotels & Casino Properties. IF there was ever a story of Americana it is the Steve Wynn story. The guy is an icon in the hotel and casino business, and the quintessential business man of the modern age. Just my opinion.

Here’s where you may well be asking: Rhett how can you love, respect and admire Steve Wynn a Capitalist and Bernie Sanders a self-avowed, self-professed Democratic Socialist?

Simple. Because I believe in the full disclosure, and fair treatment of all. No one man or one thing is an island unto themselves. Beyond reach or scrutiny. And neither Bernie Sanders or Steve Wynn are such. They are not perfect. And are never, ever above reproach. And because they are, and as much as I; love, respect and admire Mr. Bernie Sanders, I have to wonder where the Senator’s head was at when he said this. Watch!

And under normal circumstances I might just agree with Mr. Sanders entirely and completely. Having no qualms for doing so. But there’s this little thing you see called the, let me see what was the name of that erstwhile federal law enforcement agency again, ah yes! Now I remember. The FBI and there ongoing federal investigation ran, by the way, entirely out of the FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. in concern of Mrs. Clinton and shall we say her peccadilloes into global avarice, but I digress.

Note to Bernie Sanders: You see Senator Sanders whenever an American citizen can or would be guilty of a crime or crimes – presumption of innocence not withstanding – against the People of the United States of America well then that’s when the FBI steps in. They get, what I hope, to be warrants obtain evidence, surveillance, wire-tapping, etc. etc. et al. et al., and investigate said person, place or thing.

Apparently, and this’ll kill ya Senator, the United States Department of Justice, who commissions the FBI to investigate, thinks that Mrs. Clinton needs to be investigated, starting from way back in the late summer of this year.

The FBI is concerned over some, shall we say, inconsistencies surrounding Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server(s) that she used at her home while still being the U.S. Secretary of State, particularly during that whole Benghazi affair.

And it’s been my experience, and it may well be yours too sir, that whenever the United States Department of Justice thinks things awry that they will commission the Federal Bureau of Investigation to, well, investigate. Despite public reservations to do otherwise.

It’s strange I know sir, BUT it’s the way in which the laws of our land work. ‘Damn emails’ be damned.

Editorial: “Senator,” John McCain IS coming Dangerously Close to Treason, and The Senate should CENSURE him

I’ve had my fill. “Senator,” John McCain is coming dangerously close to treason, and I’m calling on the entire United States Senate to CENSURE him for such.

On yesterday’s edition of MSNBC’s “Meet the Press Daily,” hosted by Chuck Todd, “Senator” McCain said the following when referencing the Crisis in Syria:

…we need to tell the Russians we’re going to fly wherever we want to whenever we want too…we are watching young Syrian men that we have armed and trained to fight against Bashir al Assad, being killed and maimed by Russian aircraft, it’s not only wrong its immoral Chuck [Todd], its immoral…

This latest comment from him is but the icing on the cake folks! War hero status be damned.

John McCain has no business, no business whatsoever, anywhere on or near a national stage. He is wrong. He is immoral. He has spent his political life invoking war. The threat of war. The notion of war. War with the World. Watch!

He has spent his entire adult life engaged in war, the making of war. And is, for all intents and purposes a feckless, hapless ne’er-do-well who spent both his military career and early adulthood in reckless abandon, with the foreknowledge that family and family connections would see him through. Some would argue even now that he is in reckless abandon.

And now this man wants to be, “responsible,” he claims, for “ridding the world of evil men like Bashir al Assad and Vladimir Putin”?

John McCain MUST be reigned in. He must. He is dangerous. His words, deeds and actions will thrust the United States of America and the World into War.

Here’s how all this Birtherism and Questions about President Obama’s legitimacy got started

WASHINGTON, D.C. – It’s baaaaccckkk! Just when we thought all this happy horse crap was behind us about President Obama and the origins of his birth, it rears its ugly head again.

Over the weekend, and today, Main Stream Media types played big and messy in the sandbox of the silly presidential election season when Meet the Press host Chuck Toad, I mean Todd, sat down with GOP front-runner Donald J. Trump.

Among the many topics of discussion was birtherism and who started it first.

Quite frankly I’ve got a bone to pick with all concerned here.

Like a lot of Americans I question everything. And I question it with boldness and conviction. With no-nonsense tell me what number law I’ve broken in so questioning attitude.

Don’t like it? Don’t read it. Respectfully. Because there’s not a number law of this or any other land on this great big beautiful blue-green ball just a floatin’ around the Sun that I have or will break when I so question.

And so I question a whole host of things that this our 44th President of these United States, Barack H. Obama, II., says an does. Right along with everything and everybody else. But the one thing that I won’t question him on. The one thing that I won’t take up Oath Keepers USA arms against him on is his citizenship.

Time and memorial this crap about him not being an American citizen has been disproved!

But leave it to “F. Chuck Todd,” & Co. to stir the pot…[Not] again? WHY? What would be the point? The purpose? Especially from the Democratic National Committee Water Carrier himself, Chuck Todd? Both he and his wife are steeped. Steeped now. In all things Democratic National Committee.

And so Chuck Todd and his wife know the TRUTH of where and from whence comes this birtherism crap.

Truth is both the Republican and Democrat parties know exactly where all this crap comes from.

Meet now debunked and disbarred Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Attorney Philip J. Berg, Esq.

As the story goes, according to POLITICO, article written in 2011, Berg filed a complaint in Federal court against Mr. Obama in August of 2008.

Alleging that, “Obama carries multiple citizenship’s and is [therefore] ineligible to run for President of the United States. [Under the] United States Constitution, Article II, Section 1 [clause].”

But the lie didn’t stop there. During the Democratic primary process of 2008 when the contest for the nomination there came down to than New York’s Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton and Illinois’s Senator Barack Obama that’s when things really started to pick up.

Desperate to regain control of the race for Hillary. Supporters of hers, according to FactCheck.org, article posted in July of this year, began floating chain emails calling into question the origins of Obama’s birth. Mentioning Berg’s suit against him, and the need to support his effort, “so that the truth can be revealed.”

And although folks like Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Chuck Todd fan the flames of birtherism still this is where this tripe, this rock gut comes from. Philip Berg and a few ardent, dyed in the wool supporters (Hello Republican and Democratic Party faithful!) of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s.

“David Gregory: Judicial Watch is GUNNING for You!” By Rhett E. Column; #SayWhatNews, #AXJ, #FreePress

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two years ago Mr. David Gregory, one time host of NBC News, “Meet the Press” was interviewing NRA honcho Wayne La Pierre in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook School Shootings, the Washington Navy Yard shootings and Miriam Carrie’s murder by D.C. Metro and Capitol Hill Police as well as U.S. Secret Service. It was, two years ago, a blood bath across the USA, to say the least.

The Contention, then as now: High Capacity Magazine Ammunition. Watch!

And so it went…

Anyone with one good eye and half cents, then as now, knew that David Gregory was well on his way out as host of Meet the Press. Not because he wasn’t a good journalist, and didn’t ask the right questions but it was because he had no appeal and because, sometimes, he could be a real idiot!

Idiocy, clearly, on display in the video above. Gregory knew, NBC News knew and more importantly, the Production staff of Meet the Press KNEW that he had no business whatsoever displaying that ammo mag the way in which he did for that interview with La Pierre that day.

I don’t care if it was a, “journalistic point” or not!

If you and everybody with a pulse at NBC News, and both Washington and New York Offices did, knew that he had zero business displaying that magazine because it is against the law within the confines of the District to possess a fire arm or the abilities to use a fire arm on your person there and if you are caught with said you shall be subject to relinquishment of it and arrest/detention within the District of Columbia. Then you should be subject to arrest, just like everyone else is. (SEE: Adam Kokesh, 2007 arrest for brandishing a fire arm while in the District.)

Yet! It was ignored on all counts. Because of the powers that be’s abilities to sweep the obvious under the rug, for two years. Until now!  (Cover-up anyone? Anyone?)

Enter: Judicial Watch.

Through Freedom of Information Act requests Judicial Watch was finally able to obtain the affidavit requests for the arrest of David Gregory.

And upon close examination of the affidavit for Gregory’s arrest by a D.C. Metro Police Detective, said was, clearly, denied by the District’s Attorney’s Office. (Hence the cover-up question.)

Despite it all though the old saying proves true, “you can run, but you can’t hide (for long).” (Sometimes added in by some in law enforcement.)

Eventually, the law enforcement community, that is worth its salt, will get to you. The wheels of justice do turn slowly, sometimes for the good of all, sometimes for the bad but they do still turn none the less.

And Judicial Watch and it’s President  Thomas Fitton are gunning for you Mr. Gregory.
